My favorite group when growing up. Brings back memories as an elementary school child of standing on the fireplace -which was my stage and holding a banana for a microphone and belting out the Mamas and Papas songs. Love them!
JP Till is so wrong. Karen and Cass died of the same thing; the strain on the heart of massively changing your life. Karen was trying to put weight on and Cass was trying to lose it. They were both lovely women and deserve better than lame jokes about ham sandwiches and skeletons.
Their music was total MAGIC! They broke onto the world stage, performed their beautiful music for a few years, then imploded! But when they sang, it gave me goose bumps! Still does! What a group of talented people!
I did not listen to a lot of their music growing up in the 60s but as I got older I wished. I could see them perform on t .v live on ed Sullivan or dick clark but that impossible now but I still got their sound to listen to whenever I need a pick me up! like this song thanks for the post!

This was the song that won my heart and love for Cass Elliot. Multi talented singer. Left us much too soon.
