nvr herd of this song til the internet broke. bak then it was guter balet never new they had other albums before that. hall has to b ther best song as far as album toss between guter n hor
Should been bigger than Metallica.....abs the best METAL Band there ever was.....(anyway personally they got huge success w/ TSO selling millions of albums and tours for millions of people)....can`t understand why they never got bigger than they was...maybe the labels and grunge did stop them ?....Streets sold about a million worldwide and after that it went downhill even if they made good albums.....even the last album is a masterpiece imo, but maybe ahead of its time and sold like 200 000 units worldwide(or 2 many stupid fans who did`t understand that album)...and that album was the frontrunner for TSO....and today TSO is as big as any metal-band out there (all albums multi-platinum and BIG tours.....the 4-cd box-set at around $79,- sold 4 million+ units and not many band do that , and as long they make millions of bucks w/ TSO i understand why they won`t go back playing 3000 seaters as Savatage....headling Wacken made sense though (as they did Sava and TSO at the same festival....and got PAID
The guitar solo play of CRISS is unique - this mix of protractes melody lines with quick engarlanded notes sounds so passionate. And the dark and gloomy basic vibe of the song combined with the uncompromising play of Dr. Killdrum and JOHNNY LEE MIDDLETONs bass bombs what is guided by the screaming voice of Dr. Madness. This is the essence of Metal!
For me this song along with 24 hrs ago are two of the heaviest songs in traditional Heavy Metal. Then again the album,’Hall of the Mountain King’ is the best Savatage album. Savatage were hugely underrated. A vocalist will could soar, a pounding bassist and drummer and an extraordinary axe master.
