As a former radio disc jockey, I believe this song by Randy & The Rainbows was the very last Doo Wop song to make the charts. The British Invasion pretty much killed off the music we grew up with.
What defines timeless.Upbeat, happy, rhythmic, sincere and a brilliant, perfect doo-wop arrangement. So brilliant is this song that 20 years later, even the cynical, more modern "new wave" movement in rock produced "Denis." Sung by the group "Blondie," it was a hit unto itself. Universality at its purest. Rock and Roll will never die.
