I remember the New Year’s Eve show on BBC Radio 1 in 1990 with Annie Nightingale, and she said someone had asked for this to be played “ they think it’s called “Jonny, Jonny, Jonny”, but it’s “Goodbye, Lucille” .....”
They were great and Paddy is still great as PREFAB SPROUT. A great comfort in my youth, the imagery in the lyric content, great melodies, intelligent life was out there!
