thing is i fell in love with mutemath because of their first album. Pauls got a beautiful voice that is perfectly smooth and sometimes edgy for that electronic drum and bass sound they used to have. He could sing smooth beautiful melodies in songs like you are mine or pins and needles or odds. and also shout and rasp for songs that had more kick like Chaos and the explosive parts for break the same. I think i just prefer the fist album the most and how his voice worked with the music
Mutemath has had a wide variety in their sound. I would say this particular album is somewhat heavy funky with hard rock and some psychedelic. All the albums have a great drum and bass grooves but the first album was more electric sample based ambient rock and the second album was a little more poppy. Sorry its a little hard for me to describe this band. I hope this helped.
