I have asked hundreds of trumpet players to play West End with no success. Louis timing and intonation cannot be duplicated period. The recent posting of the top trumpet players in the world failed to include him. To have Chuck Mangione and Chet Baker on the list and not Louis and Harry James totally destroys the credibility of the author of that list. Louis was the significant partner in the creation of the art. An unforgivable error.
