The love of my life passed away 5 years ago today, and it still feels like a gigantic, echoing hole has been punched through my soul. We were so very happy, and in an instant, all of our dreams for the future were ripped away. Our last words on this earth were, “I love you”. I can still see his face, his big, beaming smile, and all of the beautiful hazel colors in his eyes. I miss him more than words could ever explain. Every year, it still feels so raw, like it’s happening all over again. I would crawl through Hell just to be in your arms again, Jake. I miss you.
In 2005 my cousin who was a month younger than me, took his own life. I have come to grips with the choice that was made. But man I do miss him we were the best of friends our whole lives. Thank you Kenny for the perfect song to explain the way so many of us feel. This year I lost another cousin to suicide...... please if you are reading this slow down, talk to someone anyone. This crazy world needs all of you. Don’t give up..... please don’t give up. I love you all and God be with you all.
